Michael Shawn Murphy, USAF (Ret.), 60, of North Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Maria Michelle Mitchell Murphy entered into eternal rest Thursday, October 22, 2020. 

​

Michael was born February 13, 1960 in Cleveland, Ohio, son of George Murphy and the late Evelyn Foye Murphy. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years. After serving his country, Michael worked for the Civil Service as a computer technician until his 2nd retirement. He loved playing golf, boating, fishing and dancing. Michael was involved in Dorchester Dragons Special Olympic, Summerville Miracle League and Charleston Miracle League.

He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Maria; one brother, Charles Murphy of OH; two sisters, Colleen Murphy and Debbie Marotta (Gary) of OH; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Evelyn and his beloved daughter, Maryjane Murphy.
